Obon Holiday
お経は決まりごとなので行うが、意味は分からない。今回、何を言っているか分からないお経自体に意味は無いのではないかと思った。故人にとって重要なのはあの音程で、お経は有り難そうな文言を羅列した、ついでの産物ではなかろうか。 We read sutras as a routine in Obon, but I don't know what it says. This time, I felt that there may be no special meaning to those wordings because it isn't a normal Japanese nor Chinese. The importance for deceased may be the voice tone. Those wordings may be just an enumeration of favorable wordings.
